VINYL REDESIGN

For this project we were asked to design a free-form object related to music. Designing a vinyl was a thing I always wanted to do and this seemed to be the perfect time. I chose to redesign Dogrel by Fontaines D.C because they inspire me a lot, musically and artistically.[CAT]
Per a aquest projecte se’ns va demanar dissenyar un objecte de format lliure relacionat amb la música. Dissenyar un vinil era una cosa que sempre havia volgut fer, i aquest em va semblar el moment ideal. Vaig escollir redissenyar Dogrel de Fontaines D.C. perquè m’inspiren molt, tant musicalment com artísticament.

When I started designing, I wanted to do it under a concept that was related to the original album but also connected to me somehow. This is their debut album, and they wanted it to be related to their place of origin, Ireland. So that was my concept, the presence of “home” which, in my case, is a little town in Costa Brava.
I spent a week there searching for things that were visually interesting and emotionally special for me.[CAT]
Quan vaig començar a dissenyar, volia fer-ho a partir d’un concepte que estigués relacionat amb l’àlbum original però que també tingués un vincle amb mi. Aquest és el seu àlbum de debut, i volien que estigués connectat amb el seu lloc d’origen, Irlanda. Així doncs, el meu concepte va ser la presència de “casa”, que en el meu cas és un petit poble de la Costa Brava.
Hi vaig passar una setmana buscant elements que fossin visualment interessants i emocionalment especials per a mi.
