This project arises from the desire to work manually with typography. It is based on three key points: typography as the main element of interest, the progressive deformation of the letter as the goal, and the tool as the driver of this deformation.
After experimenting with different tools and distortions, I present the LINOCUT TYPEFACE.

Working with linocut means that the result is intrinsically tied to the possibilities and limitations of the tool. Each letter is designed to deform from “thin” to “bold,” but each one has its own challenges. AND THIS IS WHERE ITS BEAUTY LIES.
Like the rest of the project, the interest lies in the process. It’s not about what I present but the things I tried, learned, did and undid, decided, bought, got inspired by, the people I listened to, and above all, the fact that at no point was I aiming to achieve this specific result.
